Ron Jacklin founded the Media FX Group in 2003 after working for MCSi, one of the world's largest Audio Visual Media Consultant/Systems Integrator. Since 2003, Ron has expanded his business, which has grown to become one of North America’s premiere multimedia developers. They specialize in making complex website productions simple and easy to use, spectacular event graphics and animations, and engaging digital signage. Under Ron’s leadership, the group has worked on various projects including multimedia/video productions for the Beijing and Vancouver Olympics, the Conservative Party of Canada, Clarica Insurance, Pentax Medical, A&W Restaurants, and eLearning websites for the British Columbia (BC) Ministry of Education. The BC Technology Industries Association, Walmart and BC Sports Hall of Fame hire Ron and his team to develop media for their award events. On the digital signage front, the Media FX Group recently made a big “splash” with BC Ferries Vacations. Ron’s team produced a 16 LCD video wall for the foyer of the new downtown sales center. Flying Wedge Pizza uses a 4-screen LCD video wall from the Media FX Group. And much more.
When he is not working as a producer and information architect at the Media FX Group, he is helping to create the next wave of multimedia talent in BC as a part-time instructor in the New Media Design program at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and the Vancouver Film School (VFS). He teaches Information Architecture, Human Factors, Media Techniques, Motion Graphics, and Interface Design. He has also held the Department Head position in 2006 and the Practicum Coordinator position from 2005 to 2008 at BCIT.
Ron also sits on the Board of Meeting Planners International (MPI), the BC Organizational Developers Network (BCODN) and the Advisory Board for RESAAS, a multi-million dollar social media platform for real estate agents.
In 2002, Ron was named one of the top 100 producers in North America in Audio/Visual Multimedia Producer Magazine.
